Michael Jackson Quiñónez already has a team for this 2024 seasonand will have to play in the Second Category of Ecuadorian footballwith the aim of promotion to Serie B of the Liga Pro.
The 39-year-old footballer became new player of Mao Sport Clubwith whom he will play in the Second Category of Manabí, and signed a contract until the end of the 2024 season.
“Let people support us because We are here for great things. We invite the fans to support us and we will give our all for the team,” said the former Barcelona SC player, at his presentation as a new Mao player.
Quiñoñez is going to share a team with Wilmer Godoya 30-year-old footballer and former Emelec player. Also, the The technical assistant of the team is Luis Caicedobetter known as Gordo Lucho
He Michael Jackson’s last team had been with Colorados SCin the Second Division. While his most recent club in the Liga Pro was with Atlético Santo Domingo in Serie B.
Michael ha won two Ecuadorian football titleswith Barcelona SC and Deportivo Quito, in the 2011 and 2012 seasons, being two-time champion of the tournament.
Quiñónez had a passing through Santos of Brazilbeing presented as the club’s next 10, but he had a brief stint before returning to Ecuador.
