The founder and leader of Independiente del Valle, Michel Deller, spoke out about the act of indiscipline committed by Kendry Páez in the last call of the Ecuadorian team.

Regarding the leaked video where Páez appears in an adult entertainment center, the manager noted: “Those of us who know know that he is a nice boy, noble, with very light blood and wants to do things well, wants to be a symbol in Ecuador, and he is only 16 years old, these are pranks that can happen.”

“We give psychological support to all the players when they need it. Kendry has to learn from this. We have to have patience and wisdom to get along with them.”

Deller tried to soften this delicate issue, claiming that these are situations that are a product of the youth and immaturity of a boy like Páez: “He has a lot of desire to live, to listen, interests that kids of that age have. If someone believes that this is not the case, it is because they are covering their eyes. Those of us who have children and have gone through their growth know that they are going to make mistakes and get into mischief.”

The head of IDV confirmed that the young soccer player was very affected after the video leaked in New York: “What I said about him being destroyed was true, the boy was very beaten up.”

Independiente del Valle did not sanction Páez for this act of indiscipline and he was even considered in the starting role for the match against Emelec on date 6 of the LigaPro.
