Michoacán.- The government of Michoacán will pay 9 million 280 thousand pesos as fees for the regional Mexican music singer, Julion Alvarezwho will perform on the night of September 15 in the Historic Center of Morelia.

Carlos Torres Piña, Secretary of Government of the administration of Morenista Alfredo Ramírez Bedolla, confirmed that the initial agreement with the representative of the Chiapas singer amounts to 8 million pesos, plus value added tax, just for fees.

“We are checking it, more or less what the representative told us is that it would be 8 million pesos, plus VAT, what we would be paying. It is a free event (with no ticket charged to citizens), a rapprochement was generated there with his representative,” said Torres Piña.

The person in charge of internal policy hinted that there is still no total amount of what the Michoacán government will pay for travel expenses for Julión Álvarez’s staff, as well as for the rent and/or transportation of the stage, audio and lighting equipment.

In addition, the government of Michoacán will have to pay the fees and per diems of the musicians, sound engineers, chargers and other members of the team that will accompany the singer.

It was the governor of Michoacán himself, Alfredo Ramírez, who last Monday confirmed the presentation of Julión Álvarez on September 15, after the commemorative ceremony for the “Cry of Independence.”

“This September 15, I invite you to celebrate the Cry of Independence and enjoy together the free concert that Julión Álvarez will offer on Av. Madero in Morelia (sic),” Ramírez Bedolla wrote on his social networks.

In August 2017, Julión Álvarez was accused by the United States Department of the Treasury of alleged links to organized crime.
