Microchip named after Kamila Valieva in Russia

by time news

A miniature RFID tag – a microchip with an antenna for quick automatic reading of information – was called Kamila. According to Russian developers, this was done in support of figure skater Kamila Valieva. Camila was at the center of a doping scandal at the Olympics, now the participation of a 15-year-old athlete in individual competitions is questionable

The developed microchip turned out to be unique in terms of durability and combination of parameters, just like our outstanding athlete, the developers explained.

With its miniature dimensions (14-38-3.5 mm), the chip helps to read information from any objects at distances up to 8 meters at temperatures from -30 to +80 degrees Celsius.
