Microsoft announced on Friday that it has fixed the technical glitch that affected applications and services around the world, noting that its repercussions are still affecting some users.
Today, Friday, the world witnessed a wave of massive technical failures that affected many vital sectors, indicating the possibility of a large-scale cyber attack, considered one of the largest in history.
These malfunctions had negative effects on important vital sectors, the most prominent of which were:

Sky News UK has stopped broadcasting.
– Australian Broadcasting Corporation broadcast interruption.
– Broadcast malfunction of other TV channels. - Airports:
– All airports in Spain.
-Germany airports.
– Edinburgh Airport in Scotland.
– Schiphol Airport and Amsterdam Airport in the Netherlands (were subjected to cyber attacks).
-US airports. - Transport:
– British Rail (its systems were down).
– Britain’s largest train company (considering cancelling all flights). - Financial Services:
– London Stock Exchange (services affected).
– Global banks (their systems were down). - Emergency services:
– US 911 Emergency Center (received tens of thousands of calls and is under tremendous pressure).
It is noteworthy that all of these malfunctions affected devices running the Windows operating system.
Investigations are still ongoing to determine the source of these attacks and the extent of their impact, but what is certain so far is that the world is facing a huge technical challenge.
