During his conference at the “Microsoft AI Tour 2024” in Mexico City, the CEO of Microsoft, Satya Nadellaannounced a mega investment of 1.3 billion dollars in our country during the next three years for the development of infrastructure for Artificial Intelligence (AI).
According to the announcement of this new investment, which was presumed as an achievement that “reaffirms its commitment to the country,” the objective is improve Artificial Intelligence infrastructure and promote digital skills, this thanks to the “National Artificial Intelligence Skills Initiative”.

This important announcement will not only be accompanied by the injection of large capital, but will also seek the democratization of this kind of technology and its implementation in the small and medium-sized companies in our country (SMEs).
“We are entering a new era of AI with the promise of creating inclusive economic growth and opportunities in all roles, industries and countries, including Mexico (…) Our investments in AI infrastructure and training in Mexico will help ensure that people and organizations across the country obtain the benefits of this technological change,” explained Satya Nadella, president and CEO of Microsoft.

Through agreements with various companies, as well as educational organizations, the American company also seeks train nearly five million people within the next three years on topics related to AI and Cloud infrastructures.
“Today, by announcing this investment, Microsoft reaffirms its trust and commitment to Mexicosupporting inclusive economic growth in the country. We have already shared this initiative with the next Secretary of Economy, Marcelo Ebrard, to have his support and maximize the impact in the country,” the manager concluded.
