American corporation Microsoft tests new feature called Microsoft Edge Secure Network. This is a built-in VPN service based on Cloudflare developments. An early version of the feature appeared in Edge Canary for a limited number of users. To activate the feature, you need to go to the settings, then to the “Privacy, search and services” tab.

Microsoft Edge Secure Network will encrypt the user’s Internet connection to protect their data. The service will use an IP address from the nearby region, there will be no option to select the geolocation of the VPN service. The first 1 GB of traffic will be free, you will need a Microsoft account to use it. For the first time about the development of a new feature, the company announced in April.
