Microsoft has listed the benefits of gamers switching from Windows 10 to the current operating system. The publication TechRadar drew attention to this, Day.Az reports with reference to Lenta.ru.
An entry appeared on the company’s blog, with the help of which Microsoft tried to lure video game lovers into Windows 11. Experts called the Auto HDR mode, in which games will look better on the monitor screen, the most important advantage. As a second advantage, the DirectStorage function was highlighted, which can significantly speed up the loading of games and the frequency of image display for owners of NVMe solid-state drives.
The third important option for Windows 11 users is a special mode in which the control panel can be reduced – this is done to make it more convenient to play on portable devices with a small screen.
The material also says that users of the current OS have access to the dynamic lighting function in games, an application for screen calibration, games with Xbox and support for Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7.
TechRadar journalists noted that for the Auto HDR function to work correctly, the user must have a monitor that supports HDR, and only two dozen games support DirectStorage. The authors noted that the real motivation for gamers to switch to Windows 11 is the end of support for Windows 10 in October 2025.
