Microsoft will prohibit installing Windows 11 on incompatible devices

by time news

The American corporation Microsoft announced that it will restrict the ability to install the Windows 11 operating system on unsupported devices. The company claims that this is done for the stable operation of the system and security.

Microsoft will be able to determine the compatibility of the device using telemetry, and Windows Update will tell you if it is possible to install Windows 11 on a computer. As you know, in Windows 10 you can bypass this limitation by changing the “Group Policy”, but in Windows 11 this will be possible absent.

The minimum system requirements for Windows 11 will be an 8th generation processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage space, a 720p display, and a DirectX 12 compatible graphics card. However, Microsoft says it is considering optimizing the system for 7th generation processors.
