Mid-term elections in the United States – the turnout is brisk

by time news

Washington:

The US Parliament consists of two houses, the House of Representatives and the Senate. Elections to these two houses are held every two years. Because these elections take place in the middle of the four-year term of the President of the United States, they are known as midterm elections.

While most of the 435 seats in the House of Representatives are in favor of one or the other party, only 30 seats are contested.

Suburbs around cities in Pennsylvania, California, Ohio, and North Carolina are most prominent.

President Joe Biden was involved in the campaign for this. Also, 5 US Indians are contesting in this election.

Meanwhile, the by-election is being held today. Voters are voting at polling stations.

Midterm election results are the people’s interim judgment of how the president is performing.

As it is 2 years since Joe Biden took over as the President of the United States, this election has created great expectations.
