Mid-term poll by Anne Hidalgo: Parisians are almost unanimous, life in the capital has deteriorated

“The city was more beautiful before. Today, there are works everywhere. We are jostled on the sidewalks, people are aggressive… Before, we were told that we were lucky to live in Paris. Today, we are complained”, sighs Marie-Noëlle, a retiree. If Paris is once again the dream of tourists returning to the City of Light, its image has tarnished in the eyes of its inhabitants. According to the survey carried out by OpinionWay for Le Parisien, 66% of those questioned say that this image has deteriorated. And 58% believe that “life is less pleasant”. All this in three years. And no area, with the exception of culture, escapes criticism.
