RIYADH: World-renowned DJ artists rocked the Saudi capital city with Middle Beast Sound Storm music nights. The ‘Middle Beast Sound Storm-2022’ music festival organized by the Saudi Entertainment Authority started on Thursday evening. Millions of fans thronged the sprawling Banban Maidan in the suburbs of Riyadh on the first day. Multiple venues were combined and DJs sang and danced in all of them. The main stage was named ‘Big Beast’. Other venues include Dance Beast, Down Beast and Bhowmatalam.
Music connoisseurs from within and outside the country came to dance and sing along with the favorite stars during the night of singing and dancing. The largest crowd was on Friday. The arenas had woken up by seven in the evening. Famous Bosnian DJ Salvatore Ganacci was the first to hit the stage. The audience woke up as Salvatore began to sing. In front of the audience, the sea waved. The star who jumped into the waves of admirers was greeted by a crowd of fans. The singer re-entered the stage after passing through the route provided by the security personnel and destroyed the arena.
The next turn was for Lebanese DJ Nancy Ajram who has the most fans in Saudi. By the time the announcement came, the entire audience was shaking. Nancy was greeted with bouquets of congratulatory words as she entered the stage singing. Nancy ran from the stage to the edge of the audience on a specially designed bridge to get closer to the audience, and there was a moment of silence. Finally, he asked the audience loudly that he should not be with me. The audience replied in Arabic and English that they are waiting for it. The vast Banban grounds vibrated as the audience sang along with Nancy.
After Nancy, the most beloved singer in the Arab world, Amar Diab, took the stage. The audience has no rest until Amar leaves the stage. He looked out at the sea of audience that was surging in waves and he exclaimed; ‘This audience will not be forgotten’.
That mass entry happened later. The response to the announcement of DJ Khaled’s debut was as if the crowd had been waiting to hear him. The arrival of American dance jockey Khalid enthralled the audience. Singing and dancing duets with him brought the celebration to the peak and made it unforgettable. Several local and international artistes lined up for the three-day event.
The musical program started at 4 pm every day and ended at 3.30 am. The organizers have prepared all the basic facilities for those who come to enjoy the event. As part of the Middle Beast celebrations, the Riyadh Season venues were put on hold. A kilometer-long security cordon was also prepared under the supervision of senior police officers. Helicopters are also flying over the venue with safety wings spread. Banban has its own special team for traffic control and parking.
