At 18:00 the Governmental National Security Council (GNC) will meet under Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The emergency meeting will take place after yesterday’s dramatic developments in the Middle East and Iran’s attack on Israel.
Foreign Ministry: The Greek Government unequivocally condemns Iran’s attacks on Israel
“The Greek Government unequivocally condemns Iran’s attacks against Israel, which constitute a serious worsening of the already burdened situation in the region,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
“Such actions put regional and international security at great risk. It is absolutely necessary to prevent any further spread of hostilities,” the statement underlined.
N. Dendias returns to Greece due to developments in the Middle East
Due to the developments in the Middle East, the Minister of National Defense Nikos Dendias is returning to Greece and will not attend the parade to celebrate the anniversary of the national rebirth of 1821 that will be held on 5th Avenue in New York, the ministry announced.
