Abbas: “We will remain on our land”
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas told the conference in Cairo that Palestinians will not be allowed to be moved out of the Gaza Strip, despite incessant shelling by the Israeli army.
“We will never accept relocation. We will remain on our land, whatever the challenges,” Abbas said before calling for continued aid to be allowed in the besieged enclave.
“We are also opposed to the expulsion of Palestinians from their homes in the West Bank and Jerusalem,” he added.
“We have asked since the first day for this brutal attack to stop and for humanitarian corridors to be opened,” the Palestinian president said, adding: “We are against violence and we are in favor of adopting all peaceful and legal ways to achieve our national goals ».
