Colombo: He was injured in an attack by some unidentified persons on an Indian Visa Center official in Sri Lanka last night. Following this, the Indian Embassy in Sri Lanka said that if they understand the situation there and are planning to leave, they can contact them.

Indian officials personally visited the attacked officer Vivek Verma and inquired about his well-being.
Meanwhile, in a tweet issued by the Indian Embassy in Sri Lanka, it has been stated, “Officer Vivek Verma, the Director of the Indian Visa Center, was attacked and seriously injured. Other officers visited him in person and inquired about his well-being. Indians in Sri Lanka should understand the situation. Those who want to leave the country can contact us.”
