The “Aquarium” of Mifal Hapayis will host veteran and well-known artists, along with young artists and artists at the beginning of their careers, who will receive a prestigious, permanent and stable stage for playing their music, in a variety of genres. The project was born as part of the Lottery Council’s Lottery for Culture and the Arts’s to support artists and their work, and to make it accessible to many and diverse audiences to be exposed and consume culture. All the shows will be uploaded to a dedicated YouTube channel and social networks, will be available for free viewing and will join a huge archive of Israeli music in all its shades.
The “Aquarium” will serve as a one-of-a-kind meeting place that provides artists with a new and unique platform to create musical experiments, experiment with original performances and produce new musical compositions that are only possible in such a format. Each week artists are invited to be hosted, seen and heard in any artistic way they choose to play and play their music performances.
Among the artists participating in the project: Guy Mazig, Teddy Ngusa, Nono, Church of the Intellect, Tzlil Danin, Eden Darso, The Backyard, The Karkokli Sisters, Yishai Levy, Rona Keinan, Yaman Blues (Ravid Kahlani), Geva Alon, Assaf Amdursky, Tomer Yeshayahu, Nuroz, Ofek Adank, Amir Benyon, Arkady Duchin, Tripoli, Esther Rada, Amir Lev, Hatikva 6, Michael Cohen, Carolina, Aviv Bachar. Also expected are: Peled, Shekel, Daniela Spector, Mosh Ben Ari, Balkan Beat Box, and a long line of other artists.
One of the best professionals in the country accompanies the project in order to ensure a professional, high-quality product at the highest level in terms of photography, sound, broadcast and also in terms of the “look” of the show. Artistic direction by Gilad Kahana, sound design, mix and mastering Yuval Shafrir, directed by Dror Paz, produced by Maya Fogel.

The “Aquarium” will be launched at the end of the month with Nono’s first performance, followed by a regular frequency, on a fixed day and time – Backyard (7.4), Teddy Ngusa (14.4), Church of the Intellect (21.4) and so on.
