The Government of Chile began the registration of foreign citizens stranded on the harmony line, a point that delimits the territorial border between Peru and the southern country, the epicenter of the migration crisis that affects both States.
The Undersecretary of Justice, Jaime Gajardo Falcón, and the presidential delegate of the Arica region, Ricardo Sanzana, arrived at the place to comply with this provision. In addition to registering foreign citizens, they will be transferred on military planes, according to the Gabriel Boric administration.

However, and despite the fact that 19 days have passed since the crisis began at the border, no date has been given on which these humanitarian flights will take place. Around 300 people would benefit.
Meanwhile, the stranded migrants, who also include Colombians and Haitians, receive breakfast and tents to spend the night, from international organizations such as the Adventist Development and Assistance Agency (ADRA) that have come in their help.
Prime Minister Alberto Otárola has said that the doors will be closed to anyone who tries to enter illegally. https://t.co/peeDQMBiRt
