The voice is the main tool of a singer, and Miguel Bosé’s hasn’t been the same for some time. The artist went to ‘El Hormiguero’ to present ‘Bosé’, the series that portrays his life, and took advantage of dispelling doubts. Pablo Motos did not hesitate. “What’s wrong with your voice?” he asked. And the interpreter spoke. «I had a back problem and I couldn’t get up from the pain I had. I spent two weeks in bed. I went to the hospital and since they were going to do a tomography of my back, I told them to do it all the way up because I also have osteoarthritis in my neck and I wanted to see how I was doing. They operated on me for seven hours because I was devastated. It was a serious thing », started the guest who confessed that he has spent eight years practically without a voice. “There have been eight years of real gallows,” he assured. The doctors could not find the reason for his ailment and he had almost thrown in the towel, but that plate and a shrewd doctor turned the tables. «The doctor called me and told me that he had seen something in the tomography that he did not like at all. I panic. He consulted a specialist and they summoned me to tell me that the chronic sinusitis that I had been diagnosed with was not to blame for the loss of voice, the cause was a tooth,” he revealed. An implant that was done decades ago damaged his mouth and that’s where his infections started. “They removed my tooth and the next day my voice had returned,” he declared.

With his voice recovered, Miguel began the rehabilitation exercises that he still maintains. The sacrifice is constant, but it bears fruit. “I’m going to fight,” he warned. And put a date. «The speech therapist is helping me and he has told me that I will return to my full faculties. They have given me a year and I think that in September or October of next year I will start a tour, “announced the musician who has recently been submerged in different controversies due to his controversial statements about the pandemic. The presenter also inquired into the subject. “We have to talk about freedoms. When I issued that criteria, I issued my opinion. No problem. You get vaccinated, I don’t; one throws himself off the balcony, the other picks him up; one likes pineapple… There is room for everyone here. I had a lot of information and what I believed until the day before could be done, turns out not to be. That constitutional right that protects us to express ourselves and think freely had disappeared. Like many others have disappeared today. In the Transition we had many more freedoms than today. Suddenly, the ‘government’ of this government did not like me to contradict what they intended to launch. And I knew what was going to happen and I said: Watch out! And with a tweet I turned against the PSOE, the PP, Vox, Podemos… To his fucking mother! My friends told me that I was a genius because with a stroke of the pen I had turned all of Spain against me. And I said: There you stay. The human being has to be governed by free will and be respected for how he is. Each one to his own, ”Bose claimed.

Another tricky issue, which is also reflected in the series, is his relationship with drugs. «In the 80s I took a trip to the dark part. I was a saint: I didn’t drink, I didn’t smoke… I was very disciplined. And one day, due to heartbreak, I called some friends to go out. We went to the Archy and there I had the first drink of my life, the first line and I started smoking. And I thought: What have I missed! And I put it all together over many years. My profession was just dating. I reached the darkest corners of the soul », he revealed. “How much did you consume?” Motos questioned. “In kilos?” ironized the interviewee trying to downplay the matter. He soon faced him seriously again. “A lot. Because you put everything you caught », he explained. Fortunately, he knew how to turn back in time. «One day in June, I woke up at twelve noon. I was used to sleeping during the day and waking up at night. I thought that this was a sign and I said: The night is over! But I did continue to party, smoke and drink for many decades. And another day, going up some stairs to a concert rehearsal, I turned around and told my manager that it was over. And I haven’t drunk or smoked or anything at all for twelve years », he affirmed.
