Mike Ben-Ari, suspected of defrauding investors, will be extradited from Bosnia to Israel – Ben-Ari was arrested and interrogated about a year and a half ago by the Securities Authority on suspicion of defrauding investors of tens of millions of shekels, and fled to Bosnia. Israel requested his extradition, he objected and appealed the decision of the court in Bosnia and now the appeal has been rejected.

About six months ago, Ben Ari was arrested in Bosnia after trying to cross the border after there were news and estimates that he was hiding in the area. The story of his escape is over and he will be put on trial in Israel for defrauding dozens of people to the extent of hundreds of millions.

The plot started about a year and a half ago. The Securities Authority opened an investigation into the case of Ben Ari and the EGFE company under his control on suspicion of committing offenses against the Joint Investments in Trust Law, the Consulting Law, the Penal Law and the Anti-Money Laundering Law. It is suspected that Ben Ari raised funds while making false representations and using the funds for purposes other than those he presented to the investors.

Ben Ari fled the country despite the existence of an exit delay order using his friend’s passport. Hanan Eisenstadt, the friend who knowingly helped Ben Ari was investigated and convicted according to his statement of the crimes of obstructing court proceedings and violating a legal order and was sentenced to a fine of NIS 50,000 and 7 months of community service.
