Miklós Szánthó: HVG, HVG, well, Págágyi! 2024-07-26 20:18:08

– The printing industry exchange tool called HVG, which is constantly looking for an external point of alignment, is delirious about the fact that the Hungarian right-wing is working on a “Russian model”, because, for example, it cannot stand on the side of families in the so-called Against LGBTQAPI+ sensitization – Miklós Szánthó wrote in his Facebook post, then explained:

“An owl tells a sparrow that he has big ears.” The HVG, which is now closer to the EU-starred tomps instead of red, as befits the tongue-tied pribs, advertises itself as “independent for 45 years”. Forty-five years ago, in 1979, there was a communist dictatorship in Hungary. They were about as “independent” then as they are today. Because yes, HVG, the showpiece of journalism with a flexible backbone, was founded by the foreign trade organization of the party state. And yes, it was the editor-in-chief of HVG who, even in 1988 (!), called “Dear Comrade Kádár Elvtárs!” on the occasion of his promotion to MSZMP president, he greeted the general secretary of the party, who bled with Soviet bayonets in 1956, with a lick.

Then HVG changed, together with the complete Hungarian post-communist media, and suddenly it became a very Western, European newspaper, the paper of people in pants. The new imperial luminary, which did not tolerate compromise, was no longer the red star of the Kremlin, but the skyscrapers of New York and then the phalanster wonders of Brussels. But there is something that hasn’t changed: dependence on foreign ideologies, impiety disguised as “sarcastic caricatures” and contempt for everything Hungarian.

Director General of the Center for Fundamental Rights added:

– Due to the institutional memory left over from the ’80s, and the unconditional faith in the economic boom, the HVG practices disinformation, war incitement, and propaganda on the track of foreign interests at such a masterful level.

The right, on the other hand, has always put Hungarian interests before foreigners: independence, self-control, sovereignty, and the practices that serve them: protecting borders, supporting families, and promoting peace. We do not copy models from the East or the West. We create a pattern. We do not serve others, but choose ourselves as allies – stressed Miklós Szánthó.

HVG and HVG’s media are not yet Az Ember, but the tragedy of Hungary: “they want struggle, disharmony” – because they cannot give anything else, which is their essence. So HVG, just recall the Russian language lessons you forgot out of shame, because: job tovoju Máty! – wrote the director general.
