Today is Monday Hijri 12 Rabiul Awal. One of the most important days in the history of the world. The greatest human being in the world, the emancipator of the world’s humanity, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) came into the world on this day in 570 AD with light on his mother’s lap. He left this world at the age of 63 on the exact date of 11 Hijri in 632 AD after completing the duties of Risalat. That is why this day is a very holy and glorious day for the Muslim Ummah.

Once the whole Arab society was plunged in darkness. They forgot the great creator Allah and indulged in various evil deeds. Anarchy and disorder prevailed throughout Arabia. This period was called the Age of Ignorance. At that time people were engaged in fighting and fighting. Almighty Allah sent Rasulullah (s.a.w.) to this world to show them the way of light along with the liberation of mankind from this dark age. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) fell in love with Allah at a very young age and often meditated in the cave of Mount Hera. At the age of twenty-five, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) got married to a beautiful woman named Bibi Khadijah. He was ordained at the age of 40. Get close to Allah. The world Muslim community including Bangladesh observes this day as Miladunnabi (PBUH) on the holy Eid.

Significance of Miladunnabi in Eid
The day is named after the three words Eid, Milad and Nabi. Eid means festival, Milad means birthday and Nabi means divine messenger. Eid Miladunnabi means celebration of Prophet’s birthday. 12 Rabiul Awal is celebrated as the birth and death day of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) at the same time. The death of any person in the world creates a great void for his family, society and country. But the death of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) did not create any void in human society and civilization at any stage. However, nothing can be more painful for the Ummah than his death. He was sent as a mercy of God to the whole world. At one time the whole of Arabia was plunged in darkness. They forgot Allah and indulged in various evil deeds. Anarchy and disorder arose throughout Arabia. This era was called Ayame Jahiliyyah.

At that time people were engaged in fighting and fighting. Almighty Allah sent the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) to the world to show them the way of light with the liberation of mankind from this dark age. After attaining Prophethood at the age of forty, Hazrat Muhammad (pbuh) has been preaching the noble ideals of Islam for 23 years through hard work and facing hundreds of obstacles. Muhammad (PBUH) came with the great message of Tawheed. He brought the message of eternal liberation, peace, progress and overall welfare of mankind by breaking the chains of all kinds of superstition, injustice, injustice, wickedness and slavery. He called the people of the world to come to the path of liberation and peace, ended the dark ages and lit the light of truth.

Peace descends on earth in the way shown by him. That’s why his every word and action is ideal for us. Peace and liberation of humanity can come in the way shown by him in the current turbulent world. Allah Ta’ala says in Surah Al-Ambia verse 107 about Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), I have sent you as a mercy to the whole world.

Various programs on the occasion of Eid Miladunnabi
In Bangladesh, the day is officially celebrated as the holy Eid Miladunnabi (pbuh). A holiday has been declared in all public and private offices today.

On this occasion, President Md. Sahabuddin and the chief adviser. Muhammad Yunus gave a separate message.

The government, various political parties and organizations have undertaken various programs to observe the day with due dignity with religious fervour. These programs include discussions on the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), milad and doa mahfil. Various programs have been organized on this occasion by the initiative of the Islamic Foundation. On the occasion of celebrating Miladunnabi (PBUH) on the holy Eid, arrangements have been made to serve good food in all hospitals, prisons, government children’s homes, old people’s homes, and drug addiction treatment centers.
