TRENTO. Just under 18 months after the inauguration of the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic and Paralympic Games Registrations are open for Team 26, the volunteer recruitment program dedicated to those who want to experience the largest sporting event in the world firsthand. The volunteers wanted are around 18,000 and will be involved in the competition locations – including Tesero and Predazzo as far as Trentino is concerned – and in all official sites, such as the athletes’ villages, the Main Media Centre, railway stations and airports. To apply you must register on site.

Those who have passed the first phase will be invited to participate in the selection events that will take place in the Games locations and, during spring 2025, will discover the role they will play during the competitions. The basic requirements – we read in a note – are four: being 18 years of age by November 1st 2025, speaking Italian and/or English, participating in selection and training events and making one’s availability available to be present at least nine non-consecutive days during the Olympic or Paralympic Games.

There are always four areas of activity planned: hospitality (welcoming of spectators and stakeholders, including athletes, media and delegations); sports competitions (support to staff at competition and training venues during the Games); event (support in various tasks helping organizational processes); languages ​​(those with advanced linguistic skills will be able to test themselves in assisting participants and spectators).
