Milan, will the M4 metro reopen early? – Current affairs

by time news

The inauguration of the entire section of the M4 subway in Milan, initially hypothesized for mid-October, could materialize earlier than expected according to the latest statements and media reports from the Mayor of the city. The tests are now nearing completion and the opening is just a few weeks away, perhaps even less.

The line, already active from Linate to San Babila, will be extended with new stops: Sforza Policlinico, Santa Sofia, Vetra, De Amicis, Sant’Ambrogio, Coni Zugna, California, Bolivar, Tolstoj, Frattini, Gelsomini, Segneri and San Cristoforo. With interchanges planned at the Sforza Policlinico stations with the M3 metro and Sant’Ambrogio with the M2.

The M4 will allow connections between Linate airport and San Cristoforo, significantly improving the city’s public transport network.
