The comic actress Brenda Lodigiani shows a new face during the meeting with the journalists of Corriere della Sera Alessandro Cannavò and Roberta Scorranese at the Chiostro degli Agostiniani in Trento, as part of the “Sparkling stoies” of the Trentodoc Festival. Space for the characters most appreciated by the public (from Annalàisa to the Milanese Imbruttita), but also for her first book “Accendi il mio fuoco”, with which she tells her story in an “almost autobiographical” way. A book that makes you laugh but also think and that she herself has defined as cathartic.
At 36, Lodigiani already has a long career behind her: first a dancer, then an actress, an impersonator, a presenter and now a writer. After a debut on Disney Channel in 2006, she moved to R101 and then landed on Scorie, where she realized she was in the right place. This is where the character of the “fairy in the meadow of fantasy” was born. Then came the impersonations, from Arisa to Carolina Kostner, up to “over-age women”, like Orietta Berti, Patrizia De Blanck and Katia Ricciarelli. “You have to have a lot of empathy to do this job, to put yourself in someone else’s shoes,” she says, “but also a lot of patience. But it’s beautiful because it’s a constant discovery.”
With Gialappa’s came Annalàisa and Ester Ascione. Without forgetting the Milanese Imbruttita who, she confesses ironically, comes very easily to her because after all “it’s me to the nth degree”. There is also space for the experience of Lol, which she defined as stressful and difficult but very fun, and “Celebrity Hunted” with her colleague Herbert Ballerina. Finally, in the book published by Sperling and Kupfer she talks about her own story, about her Sinti mother and her Gagé father and how the author has always felt in the middle of two cultures. In conclusion, an important thought, shared even at the risk of appearing obvious: diversity always constitutes wealth.
