Milan caught fire after their victory in the Derby della Madonnina against Inter, sweeping Lecce away, as Paulo Fonseca’s team scored three times in a six-minute span to celebrate their third consecutive win in the league.

Milan’s counterattack is holding strong. After the first three matchdays in Serie A, where they earned only two points and had not tasted victory, Paulo Fonseca’s team responded in a remarkable way to their critics, securing three consecutive wins that brought them—albeit with one more match— to the top of the table.

The restart for the Rossoneri began with an impressive 4-0 over Venezia, followed by a triumph in the derby against their city rivals Inter (2-1 with a Gabia goal in the 89th minute), and continued on Friday evening (27/9) with a commanding 3-0 victory over Lecce in the 6th round.

This victory was essentially achieved by the Milanese in just six minutes, as that was all it took to score all three goals of the match.

Morata made it 1-0 in the 38th minute with a backwards header, “inaugurating” his new look (shaved head) in the ideal way, with Hernandez scoring in the 41st minute with an astonishing shot inside the box from a wide position, while Pulisic had the easiest task in the 43rd minute, making it 3-0 with a placed shot from the edge of the small box, after a prolonged play.

It is noteworthy that Theo Hernandez matched Paolo Maldini as the Milan defender with the most goals in Serie A (29), with the Rossoneri scoring 3+ goals in the first half of two consecutive home games in the league for the first time since November-December 2009.
