Pop superstar Miley Cyrus covers the summer 2026 issue of Wonderland magazine in a series of striking, high-contrast photographic spreads while simultaneously preparing her 10th studio album and confirming a record deal with Atlantic Records.
Miley Cyrus is once again defying conventional pop aesthetics, stepping into her role as guest editor for the summer edition of Wonderland in collaboration with Chief Creative Officer Alastair McKimm. The striking black-and-white visual portfolio, captured primarily by photographer Mario Sorrenti with additional frames shot by Sorrenti’s daughter Gray, showcases the pop icon in bold, minimalist fashion statements spanning leather, lace, and minimal high jewelry.
High-Fashion Looks and Bold Wardrobe Choices
For the magazine’s cover shot, the 33-year-old singer appears beneath her curly fringe wearing nothing but a Tiffany necklace valued at $6,400. In another photo, she wears an oversized Saint Laurent satin coat jacket while shirtless. In another set of portraits, she dons an edgy, structured Vaquera leather dress drawn from the fashion house’s Fall/Winter 2026 collection.
The heavy black leather garment blends a moto jacket silhouette with a knee-length sheath, featuring exposed hip zippers and an exposed back zip unzipped down to her lumbar. She paired the look with towering, shearling-lined Prada boots featuring raw winter-punk textures, while elsewhere in the spread she transitions into a lacy Saint Laurent bodysuit paired with McQueen trousers and poses atop the hood of a vintage car.
Reflections on Love, Growth, and Her Upcoming Album
Alongside the fashion spread, Cyrus sat down for an in-depth profile conversation with actress Daryl Hannah to discuss her creative process and upcoming tenth studio album. The singer described the project as a layered exploration of romance and personal evolution, noting that the underlying romantic thread has persisted across multiple eras of her life.
“They’re always layered. There is definitely a romantic thread weaving through it because, like all my records, it’s a reflection of where I am in my life. But this one feels especially meaningful because this feeling has stayed with me through multiple eras. That’s something I hadn’t really experienced before.”

Cyrus also emphasized the record’s dual focus on external romance and internal self-discovery. Once your relationship with yourself changes, every relationship around you changes too. I think this record celebrates both of those equally,
she told Hannah, adding that love remains a dynamic and complex cellular understanding rather than something that requires intellectualization.
Marking Two Decades of Hannah Montana
The magazine feature coincides with a wave of nostalgia surrounding the 20th anniversary of her breakout Disney Channel series Hannah Montana,
which originally aired from 2006 to 2011. Reflecting on the anniversary television special, Cyrus admitted that revisiting the hit episodes proved to be an emotional experience that reconnected her with her natural comedic instincts.
“Watching it back reminded me that making people laugh isn’t something I perform, it’s part of my nature. Being playful, making jokes, finding the light… That’s who I am. In heavy times that’s become one of my greatest superpowers.”

A Cross-Generational Curated Issue and New Label Home
As guest editor, Cyrus brought together an eclectic mix of family members, longtime friends, and creative inspirations for the publication. The issue features contributions and appearances from Dolly Parton, Noah Cyrus, Sky Ferreira, Kelela, Lykke Li, 070 Shake, Towa Bird, Suzanne Vega, and Tallulah Willis.

The creative rollout arrives on the heels of major career maneuvers, with trade publications confirming that the singer has signed a new record deal with Atlantic Records. The move positions her upcoming release to follow up on her May 2025 album Something Beautiful
—which earned a Grammy Award nomination for Best Pop Vocal Album—and her 2023 release Endless Summer Vacation,
which secured her first Grammy win for the lead single Flowers
pursuant to a career that has regularly courted high-profile fashion moments.
