They seized more than 40,000 liters of fuel for aeronautical use, in addition to “military supplies and accelerators used for drug trafficking.”

The Venezuelan military destroyed four “logistical structures” used for drug trafficking in the state of Zulia (west, on the border with Colombia), reported this Friday the operational strategic commander of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces (FANB), Domingo Hernández Lárez.

During a security operation, he indicated through Twitter, the military destroyed these structures, which were located on the banks of the Santa Ana river, in Zulia state.

The commander, who did not explain the type of structures destroyed, pointed out that in these spaces they seized more than 40,000 liters of fuel for aeronautical use, in addition to “military supplies and accelerators used for drug trafficking.”

In addition, he attributed the ownership of these structures to the “tancol”, an acronym invented by the Venezuelan government that does not refer to any specific gang and means “Colombian drug-trafficking armed terrorists.”

This Thursday, the military indicated that FANB officials destroyed another camp in Zulia that was used as a “supply center” for jet fuel, explosives, and drugs.

On February 13, Hernández Lárez reported that the FANB has disabled 43 camps that were used by irregular groups for illegal mining and drug trafficking in the country’s natural parks.
