Military training plane crashes, crew killed in Jordan

The Jordanian ‍Armed Forces reported on Sunday morning‌ that two pilot officers were‌ killed when one of the Royal Jordanian Air ⁣Force’s training aircraft ‍crashed during a training exercise at King Hussein Air Base.

A responsible military source within the General Command of the Jordanian⁣ Armed Forces (the Arab Army) stated that ‍the incident ⁤occurred during​ a training flight, leading to the tragic loss⁢ of both Major Pilot Omar Atta Al-Abadi and Captain Pilot Mohammed Abdullah Al-Khudair. The plane‍ reportedly crashed during‌ the training session, and the pilots were transported to Al-Hussein Medical City.

The General Command of the Armed Forces expressed their deepest condolences and‌ regret over the tragic loss of life. This is not the first time a training plane ​crash has resulted ​in the⁢ death of a Jordanian military officer. In mid-2022, two air force officers​ lost their⁢ lives when ⁤a‌ Royal Jordanian Air Force plane crashed and plunged ​into an empty lot in the Ramtha area of Irbid Governorate.
