Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has admitted that the government of Pakistan is already bankrupt.
Pakistan has been facing severe economic crisis for the past few months. The country’s currency experienced an unprecedented decline against the US dollar. Petrol and diesel prices also shot up. As an extension of this, the price of essential commodities also increased. In particular, a liter of milk is sold at 250 rupees in Pakistani rupees. In this case, speaking at a private college program, the country’s defense minister said that the government of Pakistan has already gone bankrupt.
He blamed the growth of terrorism in the country under Imran Khan’s regime. The Defense Minister lamented that due to Imran Khan’s bad governance, terrorism has become Pakistan’s target. Asif said that rulers and officials who did not follow the constitution properly should be held fully responsible.
