Milly Alcock ist “Supergirl” | News

In recent years, Supergirl – aka Kara Zor-El – has been portrayed by Melissa Benoist for six seasons in the CBS and CW series “Supergirl” and by Sasha Calle in “The Flash”, among others. Gunn has already stated that he wants a complete reboot for the DC Universe.

Milly Alcock will now star in Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, based on the comic of the same name by Tom King and Bilquis Evely. A director for the project has not yet been announced and screenwriter Anna Nogueira was only hired at the end of last year. So it could be a while before Alcock can slip into the superhero outfit.

However, filming on James Gunn’s “Superman: Legacy” with David Corenswet (“We Own This City”) as the title character will begin in just a few weeks. This may also have sped up the casting process for Supergirl and Kara Zor-El will make her first appearance alongside her cousin Superman/Clark Kent. “Superman: Legacy” is scheduled to hit theaters in summer 2025.
