Mimi Chakraborty, a popular actress of Indian Bengali cinema, has resigned from the post of member of Parliament. This MP from Jadavpur submitted his resignation letter a few days ago. Although it has not yet been accepted by the party leader of the Vidhan Sabha, Mamata Banerjee. News18 published the news.
On Thursday (February 15), Mimi visited West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s residence in the Legislative Assembly. Mimi announced her resignation from the assembly. He also said that he does not want to be a candidate for the Lok Sabha elections. Apart from that, he made several complaints.
Regarding the resignation letter, Mimi Chakraborty said, ‘I resigned from my position as a Member of Parliament two days ago. I sent the resignation letter to Didi. But he still didn’t accept it. I told my sister about my complaint. Let’s see what steps he takes. I have informed the supremo of my party that I have been blocked from.
Mimi thinks politics is not for her. In his words – ‘Politics is not for me, I believe it. If I did something bad, you would be the first to show it. A day after submitting the resignation letter, Mimi Chakraborty gave an account of government expenditure in the last five years. He posted a list of expenses on his Facebook post on Friday (February 16).
In this post, Mimi Chakraborty writes, ‘I am Mimi Chakraborty. Most of my life I have been able to entertain people from the acting world. But in the last 5 years, as a member of the parliament of the world’s largest democracy, I have done as much work for the common people, I have done development work by using people’s tax money properly, I have moved forward from the right path, I feel very complacent when I think of that trip. Therefore, I am happy to present to the public the record of all my work as an MP for the last five years.’
