The Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation opened the call for academic mobility Europe 2023which seeks to finance, within the framework of the development of joint proposals for research, technological development and innovation, Air tickets and travel expenses for researchers who are working on proposals in conjunction with the countries of France or Germany.

The call will be enabled until June 15 and it will have, for the first time, a regional component whose objective is to democratize science, technology and innovation, seeking the growth and consolidation of scientific communities in departments and municipalities with historically low application rates.

The Minciencias initiative is aimed at entities of the National System of Science, Technology and Innovation that present research, development and innovation proposals, with a component of international mobility of researchers with current recognition by the Ministry at the close of the call, doctoral students and/or master’s degree graduates, Colombians or foreigners domiciled in Colombia; which they must be linked to proposals in the framework of joint work with their peers in France or Germany.
Through the Call for Academic Mobility with Europe 2023, offered by Minciencias in conjunction with international allies, it is intended to strengthen the Mission-Oriented Research and Innovation Policy; which responds to the needs outlined by the Government, in the search for solutions to the country’s challenges, established in the International Mission of Wise Men and the commitments of the 2030 agenda.
The programs to which they will be able to opt in the national and regional modalities will be those of Ecos-Nord exchange of researchers Colombia – France; DaadProcol Colombia – Germany Researchers Exchange and BMBF Colombia – Germany Researchers Exchange.
The call expects to finance at least 54 beneficiaries among recognized researchers, doctoral students and master’s degrees, with economic amounts ranging from 40 to 60 million pesos; between the three programs.
