To more quickly clear mines from the territories liberated from occupation, Azerbaijan needs mine maps.

As Day.Az reports, the chairman of the national club of international travelers of Norway “Vagaclub” Ole Jorgen Vastveit told Trend on Saturday.

According to him, the travelers saw how Azerbaijan clears territories of mines, what tactics it uses, and also saw the equipment.

“I believe that Azerbaijan is carrying out work on demining territories at a high level.

However, to speed up this process, there must be mine maps indicating the exact locations where the mines are buried. This can save lives and simplify the demining process,” he added.

It should be noted that on May 2, the visit of a delegation of foreign travelers to the territories of Azerbaijan liberated from occupation began. A delegation of 30 representatives of the national club of international travelers of Norway “Vagaclub” is headed by Jorn Ogestad. The delegation visited Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur for 3 days, moving along the Fuzuli-Shusha-Agdam-Lachin-Jabrail route.

Let us recall that before this, over the past four years, nine visits were made to Karabakh and East Zangezur by representatives of the main travel networks – ETIC, MTP, TCC, NomadMania, as well as the Turkish Travel Club, British Piki Reels, Swedish Club 100.

In total, during the trips, more than 360 international travelers from 46 countries had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the situation in the liberated territories. Through them, millions of people around the world received detailed information about the real situation in Karabakh.
