A mini marathon was held at Kovilpatti on Saturday to emphasize the conservation of natural resources.
AKA All Sports Development Corporation, Angel’s Nursery and Primary School, District Athletic Association and Best Life Foundation jointly organized the tournament. Separate competitions were conducted in 4 categories for men and women.
Chief Minister K. Karunanidhi and Wells Vidyalaya School Principal Nagamuthu started the competition. Thoothukudi North District DMK Sub-Organizer Santhanam, DMK Central Union Secretary Beekilipatti V. Murugesan, District Athletics Association Secretary Palanichamy, Star Blood Donor Association President Selvakumar, Kasturiba Primary School Principal Suba and many others participated.
Prizes were awarded to the top 3 winners in each category. The arrangements were made by a team headed by Kungboo All Sports Development Corporation Secretary Kasimariappan.
