“Independence Day Amuthapperuvila” is being celebrated in 38 districts of Tamil Nadu on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of the country’s independence. Accordingly, various exhibitions such as photo exhibitions of freedom fighters, art shows and sports competitions for students are being conducted in Madurai district.
As a part of it the Press and Public Relations and Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority held a mini marathon yesterday. More than 100 college students participated in the competition. The competition was started by Collector Anish Sehgar. The competition started at the Collectorate premises and ended at the Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority Stadium through the Gandhi Memorial Museum. The press conference was attended by many, including Public Relations Officer Sally Commander, District Sports and Youth Welfare Officer Lenin.
