On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a mini-marathon competition was held on Sunday at Coonoor Madras Military Centre.
Women’s Day is celebrated every year on behalf of Madras Army Centre. Accordingly, this year’s Women’s Day celebration was held at the Madras Regiment Center in Wellington with a mini marathon on the theme ‘Women Power and Gender Equality’ on Sunday.
Brigadier Sunil Kumar Yadav, Commandant of Madras Regiment Center flagged off the Mini Marathon which started at Wellington Thangaraj Stadium.
Certificates were given to all the participants and prizes were awarded to the winners of the marathon which was held for a distance of about 5 km.
