Minibus driver stranded on light rail tracks

To avoid the floods, a driver of a minibus tried to go through the Light Rail tracksbut he was stranded; he was arrested.

In light of this, the floods made it impossible for motorists to pass through the avenues, but among them stood out a minibus operator who decided to avoid self-denial by passing through the roads of the Huipulco stationof the Light Rail.

The Aqueduct Avenue was left without a way through due to the high water level and the driver of the public transport unit “decided” to get on the Light Rail.

However, water also flooded that area and the minibus driver was unable to continue and was stranded.

Videos and images of the minibus stuck on the road were spread through social media and went viral.

He Electric Transport Service (STE) reported on social media that elements of the Secretariat of Citizen Security (SSC) arrived at the site to carry out maneuvers to remove the unit, which happened once the water level dropped sufficiently.

Reports indicated that the responsible driver tried to flee but the agents of the SSC they managed to stop him.

The stranded unit will be transferred to a vehicle depot and the STE will cooperate with the authorities to determine responsibilities.

It is worth mentioning that the Light Rail stopped having service and a provisional route was implemented that went from Taxqueña al Azteca Stadium.
