There is also a paradigm shift in the interior: the interior, which was almost comically overloaded with its plastic mess, is replaced by the cockpit which is now much clearer with high quality textile surfaces, LED highlights and the excellent sports seats. The spherical OLED display sits in the center as a cool representation of the iconic round instrument. The assignment of the typical Mini toggle switches is now more consistent, so the buttons for the window regulators are now where they belong: in the doors. The space is more than enough as long as you interpret the Cooper as a two seater.
The drive is also consistent with the Mini Cooper SE
The more powerful of two electric motors has an easy time with the curb weight of 1.7 tons, the front wheels no longer turn as violently as its predecessor. The only disadvantage is the maximum charging speed of 95 kW at fast charging stations – this is heavier than the small battery.
In the test: Mini Cooper SE

What do you like about the Mini Cooper SE: The reduced design, the (animal-free) mix of interior materials, how well the electric drive fits the concept.
Things not to like about the Mini Cooper SE: The manageable charging performance and the high limit price.
What makes the Mini Cooper SE surprising: From Sól to Pól: The new little boy was very successful now.
The Mini Cooper SE is perfect for: Capital rich second car drivers.
