DIG/ The Minister of Mines, Hervé Patrick Opiangah, had, on Tuesday September 26, 2023 in his office, an important working session with the Vice-Chairman of the HuaZhou Industrial and Commercial Company (CICMHZ), Dr. Lin Ping.
The Chinese manager came to present to the Minister of Mines the activities and projects of his company. More precisely the exploitation of manganese, and the project of a large ore analysis laboratory to be set up in Gabon.
A delegation from the Ministry of Mines had already stayed in China in July 2023 to negotiate and ratify the terms of the related agreement, which provides the construction of a laboratory in the fields of mining, metallurgy, advanced materials, personnel training, technology transfer and scientific exchanges.
At the same time as it integrates the project to create a local iron-to-steel processing plant, the manufacturing of advanced materials, as well as the construction of an ore port in Cocobeach.
Manganese mining takes place in Ndjolé, in Middle Ogooué. Activities are taking place satisfactorily, assured the Vice-Chairman.
