Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir addressed the letter of the retired commissioners this morning (Friday) and responded sharply: “A group of failed officers who united together after destroying the police.”
“They destroyed national security and some of them also committed corruption which was reflected in the conclusions of the committees in their case,” added Ben Gvir.
“Krady, who the Zeiler committee determined was a negligent and unprofessional commissioner, Rafi Peled, who everyone remembers his corruption and the financing of the hot tub, and Miki Levy, who was the most failed police officer in Jerusalem and during his time dozens of people were murdered, it is better if they sit quietly and do not interfere with the commissioner and the police’s work” .
Ben Gvir was enraged at the letter sent by the retired commissioners to the current commissioner Yaakov Shabtai, which read: “Rabbi Tsav Kobi Shabtai – resign! We, the group of retired Tsavs and Tsavs, were prepared in astonishment with the minister’s decision to depose the Tel Aviv District Police Chief Tsav Ami Ashad in view of his success Conduct for 9 weeks many protests with scope and wisdom while taking advantage of the right to protest on the one hand and enforcing the law on the other.

In these actions you have lost the moral and ethical right to continue leading the Israel Police officers in their many and varied tasks! We are Rabbi Nitzavim and your former commanders Nitzavim call on you to resign from your post immediately!”
