Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gabir Visits Injured Soldiers at Belinson Hospital

Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gabir paid a visit today (Thursday) to the Belinson Hospital to meet with soldiers of the Navy and the IDF who were injured in an operational activity in Tulkarm and Nablus. The soldiers were admitted to the hospital following an incident that took place last night.

During his visit, Minister Ben Gabir expressed his support and wished a speedy recovery to the five heroic Navy soldiers who were wounded in Tulkarm. He highlighted the determination of the State of Israel to pursue its enemies wherever they may be, reiterating the commitment of Israeli forces to confront and combat terrorism relentlessly.

Speaking to the press, Minister Ben Gabir stated, “Our enemies should be well aware that Israel will reach them no matter where they try to hide. Our forces possess the capability to confront any enemy at any time. We will continue to fight terrorism and strike it with full force.”

In addition to his visit, the Minister was accompanied by Maj. Brig Yitzchak, Head of the Military Police, Boaz Goldberg, the Minister’s security secretary, Chief Kobi Yacovi, and Chief of the National Military Police, Barak Mordechai. This high-level delegation underscored the importance and seriousness with which the government viewed the incident.

Providing further details about the operation, it was revealed that during the joint activity carried out by the IDF and the Special Forces in Tulkarm, five IDF soldiers were injured by rocket-propelled grenades. Out of the five, three sustained serious injuries while the remaining two were classified as lightly to moderately injured.

The Minister’s visit aimed to express gratitude and offer moral support to the injured soldiers, as well as to demonstrate the government’s commitment to the safety and welfare of all military personnel.
