Minister of Information and Communication Fana Soumah took part this Wednesday, August 21, 2024, in the 6th forum on Sino-African media cooperation and high-level dialogue of Sino-African think tanks.

This forum is organized by the National Radio and Television Administration of China jointly with the African Union of Broadcasting, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the Beijing Municipal Government.

It is an opportunity for ministers from different countries to discover technological advances in the field of media and to strengthen exchanges between professionals who came this year from 45 African countries and press organs established throughout China.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Guinean Minister of Information and Communication Fana SOUMAH, on behalf of Head of State General Mamadi DOUMBOUYA, welcomed the investments made by China to support the modernization of media in Africa and particularly in Guinea. He also reaffirmed the CNRD’s willingness to strengthen this cooperation by considering other actions.

“We believe that the intensification of media exchanges and cooperation between the People’s Republic of China and Africa with a view to building a community of shared future is essential and must be a major challenge for our countries,” the minister said.
It should be recalled that this 6th Beijing forum is placed under the theme “Joining forces on the path to modernization”.
