jpnn.comJAKARTA – Deputy Chairman of Commission II DPR RI Junimart Girsang said that each faction in the DPR RI can have the independence to decide whether to submit the right to inquiry or not.

He said this in response to NasDem Vice President Ahmad Ali’s statement suggesting that parties supporting the questionnaire should resign from President Joko Widodo’s (Jokowi) government cabinet.

“All factions have the right to say yes or no regarding the right to inquiry,” said Junimart when met at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Wednesday (13/3).

He said the PDI-P faction in the DPR had the right to submit a questionnaire, without thinking about the fate of ministers from political parties bearing the Bull symbol in the Jokowi-Maruf cabinet.

“This means, we have to learn to be smart. Politics is smart politics, intelligence politics. It is the right of every political party to submit rights like a questionnaire,” said Junimart.

Previously, Deputy Chief of the NasDem Party, Ahmad Ali, asked political parties supporting the DPR RI’s right to inquiry to resign from the Jokowi-Maruf cabinet.

Ali considers this step necessary to provide healthy political education to the public, while avoiding prejudice.

“If the government political parties want to submit an inquiry and impeach Jokowi, they will resign from the cabinet,” said Ali to media crew, Tuesday (12/3).

Deputy Chairman of Commission II DPR RI Junimart Girsang responded to a request that ministers from political parties supporting the right to inquiry resign from the Jokowi government cabinet.
