As part of the security of citizens and the fluidity of traffic, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, through AGEROUTE, has built a 29-meter-long footbridge on the Fidèle Castro highway at the level of Sangoyah 1ÈRE gate in front of the Topaz Multi-industry factory.
The inauguration ceremony took place this Saturday, July 15 under the chairmanship of the Minister of Guardianship Gando Barry. It was attended by the 2nd Vice-Mayor Mr. Ibrahima Sory Cissé accompanied by the Secretary General of the commune, executives from the department and officials from the Metal Plus company.
Mr. Gando Barry will say that the CNRD and the government at the head Colonel Mamadi Doumbouyah has included among its priorities the construction of roads and crossing infrastructures in order to facilitate the movement of people and their goods. He thanked the Town Hall for the good collaboration and the concern of the latter for the improvement of the living conditions of its citizens. Mr. Barry invited the municipal authorities to monitor these infrastructures and promised the availability of his services for any maintenance needs.
For his part, the vice-mayor Elh Ibrahima Sory Cissé, on behalf of the mayor Mamadouba Tos Camara and the population of Matoto, thanked the infrastructure department for the realization of this important crossing jewel, which makes it possible to further protect the lives of their citizens and all road users. He reassured the department of the monitoring and rational use of this footbridge and all other infrastructures built in the municipality of Matoto.
It should be noted that the contracting authority is the road management agency (AGEROUTE) and carried out by the company Métal plus.
The ceremony ended with the cutting of the inaugural cord.
