The Tourism Council of the CEOE, in which the main companies and territorial and sectoral organizations of this activity participate, met with the Minister of Industry and Tourism, Jordi Hereu. An idea that has also been adopted by the president of the Tourism Council of the CEOE, indicating several points to be improved to increase competitiveness, such as attracting talent, shortage of housing or infrastructure renewal for mobility, among others. And he reminded: “We are all tourists and we cannot solve problems from the private sector alone.”

For that reason, the Council informed the importance of “working on a national work plan agreed with the CCAA which clears the reputation of the unknown and consolidates the talents of the sector. We need to draw up strategies to recover social sympathy for tourism,” said Cierco.

For his part, the Minister thanked him for the meeting he had with the Spanish tourism companies and described it as “a great opportunity to establish a joint line of work.” In addition, Hereu took the opportunity to list and reiterate the positive values ​​of the sector “We are a leading country in tourism and we are proud of this leadership. So, we’re going to continue to strengthen this leadership over time.”

Therefore, the Minister has tackled this national plan and this joint work proposed by the companies and has indicated that “we are going to work on a plan for the future”, emphasizing that the promise to complete this “together and coordinate. .”
