Minister Marc Fesneau on mega-basins: “In Sainte-Soline, the risk of violence is high”

Dozens of tractors arrived this Friday evening, March 24. Intending to defy the prefectural ban on marching on Saturday, thousands of people are expected in Sainte-Soline (Deux-Sèvres) to protest against the controversial “megabasins”, these large water reserves. The Minister of Agriculture, Marc Fesneau, rejects any suspension of this project, considering it “virtuous”. And justifies the ban on the gathering by “a strong risk of violence”.
