Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Naeem Al-Aboudi, announced today, Wednesday, the start of the comprehensive electronic transformation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, starting from the academic year 2024/2025.

The minister said during the joint meeting with the Parliamentary Higher Education Committee headed by Muzahim Al-Khayat – in a statement received by the (INA): “The new electronic transformation environment includes fifty systems to digitize the work of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in addition to building a digital data center according to international standards and specifications.”
He stressed that “the integrated digital transformation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the adoption of specialized electronic systems to complete its work by administrative staff and teaching bodies aims to improve efficiency, streamline procedures, complete digital documents, dispense with paper work, implement services through smart applications, and link departments, universities, colleges and institutes in all governorates to the Ministry’s center through an information network to manage and evaluate the performance of educational and scientific processes and meet development needs in the fields of learning, education, scientific research and community service.”
For its part, the Parliamentary Higher Education Committee praised the “decision of the Ministry of Education’s comprehensive digital transformation and described the project as a new success story embodied in the integrated electronic systems and applications responsible for admission to public and private universities in undergraduate and graduate studies, student registration, student information management, digital education, automation of the work of departments, formations, research centers, tests, and issuance of documents,” stressing that “the project serves the quality and solidity of education and serves the reputation of Iraq and the success of its institutions.”
