Minister of Health announces the success of the health support plan for the Ashura visit

Minister of Health Saleh Al-Hasnawi announced today, Wednesday, the success of the health plan for the Ashura visit in the holy Karbala Governorate.

Al-Hasnawi said in a press conference followed by the (INA): “The health plan for the visit of the tenth of Muharram was carried out with continuous follow-up and direct supervision by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani and ended after performing the Tuwairij run.”
He added, “The plan was implemented with the participation of more than 20,000 employees distributed between hospitals, health centers, ambulances, mobile teams, and mobile detachments,” noting that “all detachments performed their duties to the fullest extent.”
He added, “The health centers in Karbala Governorate received 60,000 visitors and 25,000 cases visiting government hospitals during the ninth and tenth of Muharram.”
Al-Hasnawi explained that “the health plan witnessed 308 births and about 350 surgical operations in hospitals,” noting that “the number of immediate aid and ambulances reached 100 vehicles and participated in transporting 1,200 injured cases to centers and hospitals.”
He added that “the health plan for the Ashura visit was implemented accurately and in cooperation between the Karbala Health Department, the health institutions affiliated with the holy shrines, the security forces detachments, and the Popular Mobilization Forces Medical Department,” noting that “the plan witnessed blood donation campaigns, where 2,660 blood bottles were collected from the visitors.”
The Minister of Health concluded the press conference by “praising the efforts made by all the staff participating in the health plan,” stressing that “no serious cases of infection or loss of life were recorded during the visit ceremony.”
