He conveyed this on the sidelines of the G20 Brazil activities in Fortaleza on Friday (26/7) Brazil time.

Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah revealed that employment conditions in Indonesia this year have continued to improve.

This assessment can be seen from the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) of 4.82 percent in February 2024 or a decrease of 0.63 percent compared to February 2023 of 5.45 percent.

“However, of course we must continue to reduce this figure with various measurable and targeted efforts,” said Minister of Manpower Ida Fauziyah in her official statement, Saturday (27/7).

According to Minister of Manpower Ida, there are several reasons why TPT is still relatively high compared to ASEAN countries.

First, with a population of 281.6 million, Indonesia is the country with the largest population in ASEAN.
