Baghdad – I.A.
Minister of Commerce Athir Dawood Al-Ghariri announced today, Sunday, the success of the ministry’s service and logistical plan supporting the Arbaeen pilgrimage of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).

Al-Ghariri said in a statement received by the (INA), “The ministry has mobilized its efforts to implement this plan based on the directives of the Prime Minister, in order to ensure the provision of the best services to visitors.”
He added, “The ministry participated with a large transport fleet of 700 production vehicles, in addition to 108 service vehicles, which contributed significantly to reducing the congestion and containing the millions of crowds in the transport garages, according to what was determined by the Supreme Committee supervising the visit and the operations room of the holy Karbala Governorate.”
Al-Ghariri added, “The ministry’s formations provided significant logistical support by distributing water, juices, ice, and bread to visitors and owners of Husseini processions, in coordination with the government team and continuing field work throughout the days of the visit.”
He pointed out that “the success of the transportation plan was achieved thanks to the combined efforts of the ministerial team, especially the field presence of the administrative undersecretary of the ministry, Sattar Al-Jaberi, in addition to the participation of the general administrations and the central transportation and movement departments. These joint efforts helped in serving the large crowds of Muslims who commemorated this occasion, which reflects the national cohesion and unity of the Iraqis. We express our thanks and gratitude to the ministry’s staff for their dedication to serving the visitors of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him),” noting that “the ministry was assigned this year to work on six supporting axes, unlike what it was in previous years.”
